Reporting Issuer List
Under the new Securities Act, an issuer is automatically deemed to be a reporting issuer in Prince Edward Island if it has filed a prospectus in P.E.I. and has continued to be a reporting issuer in another jurisdiction of Canada from the date of its filing into P.E.I. until February 11, 2008. This is set out in section 1(zz)(i) of the new Act.
The Securities Office maintains a list of issuers who are reporting issuers in Prince Edward Island. A reporting issuer in Prince Edward Island can be taken as not being in default in Prince Edward Island if it is not in default in its principal jurisdiction and does not appear on the list of Reporting Issuers defaulted by the PEI Securities Office.
